Mounting Wind Sensor Awning on Newell Classic

Has anyone mounted a Gerard awning on an older newell coach? Or any of the other powered awnings with wind sensors?

I had to replace my wind sensor after a tree limb broke it. It is a very simple device with only two wires and should be very simple to install except for hiding the two wires in the ceiling.
