Different size tanks in Newells?

I was doing some research and read somewhere that Newells have different size tanks for water, fuel etc. depending on what the owner wanted when it was built for them. Is this true?

Yes. That is one of the things I love about our older coach; HUGE tanks. Most of the newer one's have much smaller tanks now. We have 324 gal total fuel, 68 gal propane, 185 gal fresh water & 190 black water.

I believe my tanks are considered standard size on newer Newell coaches unless you specify a custom size at time of order placement.

My tank sizes are as follows: Diesel Fuel 190gallons, DEF 15 gallons, Fresh Water 143 gallons, and Holding Tank 143 gallons. Like I stated, most all coaches I've personally seen are with these same specs.

Thank you ccjohnson and farmell for your response. I appreciate the help and information. Why is it they went with smaller tanks in the newer coaches?

Fuel tanks were reduced in size since the S60 got better mileage than the 8V92. The primary reason to reduce tank size is to reduce weight of carrying a maximum load of water or wastewater or fuel. As coaches get heavier, an extra 30 or 40 gallons of water adds another potential 250-330 pounds. A extra 130 gallons of diesel would weigh about 900 pounds plus the extra weight of the larger tank. All coaches (and airplanes and boats for that matter) fight the battle of ever increasing weight.

239 gal fuel , 200 gal fresh and holding tanks are 200 gallon , the wine chiller holds 14 bottles
